Little Ballerina

Chloe has been telling me that she wants to learn ballet and I finally signed her up for a once weekly Pre Ballet class with Crestar. Her 1st formal lesson will begin on Monday next week at 8pm for 45 minutes.

So today, I bought her to buy her ballet attire. She was so excited when we were at the shop and kept dancing like a ballerina by putting her hands up in an arch shape and tip toeing her feet.

The ballerina costume cost $80, which consists of a pair of socks (I thought they should be wearing stockings but was told by the lady at the shop that they will wear that when they are older), the pink bodysuit, a tutu, and a pair of ballerina shoes. Very costly costume though was told everything is imported from the UK.

She looked so adorable in the costume. Chloe is small but her little belly was protruding in the tight ballerina suit and I jokingly told her that she looks so "big". I hope Chloe will love ballet and excel in it.

@ Joshua 4th Birthday Party

It was my classmate Bernice's son birthday party today.Joshua (birthday boy) turns 4.Chloe loves parties. She had her favourite Cinderella drawn on her arm and I have to promise her to draw a similar one everyday when she refused to take her bath for fear that her Cinderella will disappear. I took a photo of the drawing and just hope that I can replicate a similar one later.

Mummy little helper

7 Feb 2009

It was a busy week with last minute orders for party bags and diaper cakes. Chloe is a great help these days. She loves pasting the sticker labels onto boxes/cups/bags and putting the individual items into the bags. We just love working together. What touched me most was when she comes up to me and volunteer to help. Our conversation will be

Chloe: Mummy, I help you.
Mummy: Chloe, I can do it myself. Thank you sweetie.
Chloe: But I want to help. Not fair. (walk away sulking with arms on her hip)
Mummy: Ok, you help me paste the stickers.

After pasting the stickers.....

Mummy: Ok, I'll take out the blowouts and you will put one into each cup.One each.
Chloe: Ooh... what is this? Little Einstein! My favourite. Is this extra?
Mummy: Sweetie, if there is any extra, I will give it to you. Quick, put them into the cups!

After finishing putting everything into the bags.

Chloe: Mummy, no extras!
Mummy: There are extras in the box. I'll give it to you later ok. So proud of you for helping me. So sweet.
And she will give me that sweet "so proud of myself" smile.

Yi Yi took this photo and when she showed it to me, I went " so cute, but don't look like Chloe". Don't you think so?

Big Kids Class-Nursery 2 at Growing Up Gifted

2 January 2009

I was so proud of HRH on her first day in Nursery 2 class at GUG. She has been attending GUG since 20 months old. For about a year plus, I was attending classes with her as well. It was only in Nursery 1 last year that parents were not required to be in class with the children. Initially, she did not cry and I was so relieved on the first day. However, on the second day, she cried when the other children started crying for their parents. But I know my baby will adapt quickly to her teachers and after 4 days of crying, she became one of the most well liked student in her class.

Anyway, this year, she is in Nursery 2. Told her that she is in the big kids class now. The first time I see her in her uniform (GUG uniform- t-shirt in 3 colours- green, red and orange), I was actually fighting back my tears. Then I realised, she is no longer a baby. She is a BIG GIRL now. On her first day, she made me proud when she just gave me a hug and said "bye mum" and went right into her class talking to her new teachers and friends. A few of her classmates were clinging on to their parents and crying, refusing to enter the class. I am so proud of you little one.

Me and my Pink Handbag!

How true that children modelled after the adults.Seeing mummy and auntie carrying bags when we go out, little one does the same too. These days, she carries her bag with her when she goes out (except for classes). She puts a princess comb, her yellow toy mobile phone (so that she can call our pet dog to ask him to look after her toys at home!) and her accessories-necklace,ring and watch!Looking at her, I just wonder what happened to my little baby. And wish she is not growing up so quickly.

My Pink Scooter

Happy Moo Moo Year

26 January 2009

Chloe wore a pink Chinese top and white skirt when we attended CNY Mass but when we came home, she said the clothes made her very warm. She choose to change into this pink dress and was so happy posing with our pet dog. Did not managed to take a photo of her in the Chinese attire though. Will do so and repost it up here.

CNY Gathering with the Girls

31 January 2009

Most of the time, people blog on a daily basis but for me, you will probably find me writing a week update, sometime maybe a month update on one day. But hey, this blog was created to keep HRH grandparents in Hong Kong and all her Uncles and Aunties around the world updated to start with. So I doubt they will mind the date the journal was written.

It has been years since we invited our closest girl friends to our home for Chinese New Year dinner. As far as I can remember, we have been getting together in our teens. So this year,we decided to meet again but this time, instead of just the girls, hubbies and children joined us as well. Chloe was so excited 2 days before the party and she enjoyed herself with her friends. I hope these kids were grow up to be the best of friends.

High Tea at Shangri-la Rose Veranda

Just wanted to have a relaxing day today and decided to spend a leisurely afternoon with the family and Chloe. High tea at Shangri-la Rose Veranda was our choice. There were 102 premium tea blends for us to choose from and between us, we had about 11 different pots of tea. I had Magic Rose Tea,Sweet Honeybush,Spendid Earl Grey,Bai Mu Da and Melon Tea. The decadent dessert bar was Chloe favourite. She went straight to the Chocolate Fondue and had Marshmallows dipped in Chocolate. Of course, she not going to miss her chocolate ice cream. The only good food she had was bread stick and soup!At least she tried. Chloe loves drinking from the delicate fine china tea cup and said that she wants to come back again for tea although she was just drinking water from the tea cup.
